The 8th annual Family Fun Day held over in the village of Broderick on Saturday, July 14 brought with it some fun games, good eats, sweet treats, and just the right amount of sunshine.
Held in the village community park, kids and families enjoyed things such as the bouncy castle, face painting and a dunk tank, while some adults picked up a few games of horse shoes and enjoyed the live entertainment courtesy of Rosetown musician and singer Dwight Powell, AKA the ‘One Eyed Cat’.
But the ‘main event’ of the day may have been the delicious pork loin supper, which satiated the appetite of the hungry crowd, as well as the cake for dessert. The fun and games continued a little while longer until the event came to a close for another year.
Whether it was some fun in the sun you were looking for, or some good food and visiting with friends and neighbours, Broderick’s Family Fun Day seemed to have something for every age.
