A very giving – and delicious – gesture by the Outlook Bakery last week ended up raising some impressive dollars for STARS Air Ambulance.
The special daylong event on Wednesday, July 25 was called ‘Donuts by Donation’, where the public was encouraged to come into the store, make a donation of any amount to STARS, and they would be rewarded with a box of a dozen donuts.
On hand for the event was Shari Lemon, a native of Conquest who works for STARS.
In the end, the event ended up amassing an incredible $2,988.40, plus an additional $880.00 in donations that was given directly to Shari.
The success of this unique fundraiser proved that no one can turn down delicious donuts, and that they’re more than willing to give to such a good cause.
