SaskExpress to Make Stop in Outlook This Summer

Tickets go on sale August 1

It will be a night of movie music the whole family will enjoy when SaskExpress, a touring team of singers and dancers from different places throughout the province come to Outlook in August.

Thirteen performers will take to the stage and bring the music from some of your favorite movies to life, including themes from cinema classics to recent showstoppers. Whether you enjoy smooth jazz, heartfelt ballads, or toe-tapping dance numbers, there will be something in this show for everyone.

One of the performers is Outlook’s own Madeline Codling, a young woman audiences have gotten to know through her involvement in the Outlook and District Music Festival, LCBI choirs and musicals, and as Ariel in Equinox Theatre’s production of “The Little Mermaid.”

The Outlook stop on the SaskExpress tour is being sponsored by the Town of Outlook, Outlook and District Arts Council, and Equinox Theatre. Representatives from each of these organizations have been working together to put plans in place for this special performance and they are excited to see this event come to Outlook, Thursday, August 22 at 7:00 pm in the Civic Centre. Sheri Lovrod, who is the point person in putting this team together remarked, “We have a unique opportunity to bring SaskExpress into our community but we knew it would take the efforts of groups working together to make it happen. This is going to be a really great event in our town this summer.”

Tickets will be available beginning August 1 at Jacq’y Jaye’s; $10 for adults, children 16 and under free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $15 at the door.
