Meeting to Discuss Lake Tourism Ideas

Event to explore how tourism can be boosted

What are some of your ideas that could help promote tourism to the Lake Diefenbaker area?

That’s what the Lake Diefenbaker Tourism organization wants to discuss at an upcoming membership meeting that is open to all.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday, June 18 at the Harbor Golf & Resort Club in Elbow, with a half-hour social time beginning at 6:30 and the meeting starting at 7:00.

Organizers are asking attendees to think of “one idea” that they believe will help foster growth in tourism in the Lake Diefenbaker area, as well as benefit surrounding businesses.  The meeting will also include a number of representatives with Tourism Saskatchewan in attendance, who will provide information and answer questions and concerns.

The goal of the meeting appears to be two-fold; promote the benefits of a membership to Lake Diefenbaker Tourism, as well as identify how the potential of the lake area can be continuously explored to increase tourism, particularly during these prime summer months.
