COVID-19: All Saskatchewan Music Festivals Cancelled

The Outlook has received the following statement from the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Board of Directors: Effective March 15, 2020, the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Board of Directors advise that all festivals be cancelled IMME

The Outlook has received the following statement from the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Board of Directors:

Effective March 15, 2020, the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association Board of Directors advise that all festivals be cancelled IMMEDIATELY for the 2020 festival season.

This difficult decision was made in order to protect our stakeholders and general population from exposure to COVID-19, and to limit the spread of the disease.  Due to the uncertainty of time lines, rescheduling of 2020 festivals will not be possible.

With the cancellation of the majority of our District Festivals, the SMFA Board of Directors also made the decision to cancel the 2020 Provincial Finals.

With this information, it means that the Outlook and District Music Festival, originally scheduled for the week of March 30-April 3 has been CANCELLED.

Entry fees will be returned within a week.  Local businesses and organizations who have made donations will be contacted by a committee member.  If you have purchased a program from the Coop, please take the program to the Irrigation Centre Motel to receive a refund.

If you have any other questions regarding the Outlook Music Festival, please contact a Festival Committee member (Cathy McPhail or Sandy Stephenson).
