Outlook RCMP Make Arrest in Vandalism

Local buildings, residences were tagged in early July incident

The Outlook RCMP have made an arrest in connection to the spray paint vandalism around Outlook that took place on July 9 in which a number of buildings were targeted, including the Legion Hall, Kinsmen Park, and the heritage museum.  Private residences were also tagged with graffiti.

Sgt. Mark Langager said RCMP have arrested a youth in connection to the spray-painting incident.  Late last week, police arrested the youth and released him from custody for a court date in Outlook to be held in August.  The name of the youth cannot be released, and the investigation into the vandalism is ongoing.

The predominant symbols and lettering in much of the graffiti led some people to believe that it may have been the work of gang members from Saskatoon and Prince Albert, as the symbols seemed to match known gang signs.

If anyone has further information on this investigation, please contact the Outlook RCMP.
