Struck Pole Reroutes Town Traffic

SaskPower on scene to repair downed power pole

A struck power pole at the four-way intersection of McKenzie Street and Saskatchewan Avenue in Outlook caused traffic to be rerouted on Friday afternoon, September 7.

The pole was knocked askew in the middle of the afternoon, which prompted the presence of the Outlook Fire Department, who set up trucks to block the intersection at all four major access points.  SaskPower was soon on the scene to repair the pole, and traffic was rerouted away from the four-way intersection during the repairs.

During the fix-up and clean-up job, a number of locations in town lost power for upwards of a couple of hours, but it was restored by around 7:30.

The pole repair was finished and cleaned up shortly afterward, and traffic was opened back up at the four-way intersection by roughly 8:30.

The Outlook Fire Department thanks the public for their cooperation during the repairs and clean-up.
