UPDATE: Youths Charged in Animal Cruelty Case

Injured animal left to die near LCBI grounds

RCMP have provided The Outlook with an update on the story we brought you earlier this month involving a case of animal cruelty, in which an injured and dying animal was dumped on the grounds of LCBI during the early morning hours of Sunday, September 2.

Sgt. Mark Langager of the Outlook RCMP says police have laid charges against two youth for their part in the animal abuse case.  The animal in question was a porcupine, which was abandoned on the school grounds and left to die, along with a written note.

The porcupine had to be put down due to the nature of its injuries.

The two youths are expected to appear in court in Outlook in November.

The RCMP thank the public for their help as they received numerous calls from people assisting with this investigation.
